Zafin appoints Michael Nitsopoulos as Chief Product Officer
The leading provider of core modernization and transformation SaaS solutions for banks, Zafin appoints Michael Nitsopoulos Chief Product Officer. Michael brings more than 23 years of experience leading product and solution innovation in multinational organizations, including financial services, telecommunications, retail, public sector and insurance.
As Chief Product Officer, Michael will oversee Zafin’s product strategy, leveraging his deep experience to enhance and expand Zafin’s suite of solutions. Michael joins Zafin from PNC, where he served as Senior Vice President and Chief Technology Officer of Retail Banking Technology. At PNC, he led the architecture, strategy and innovation team of more than 1,000 engineers, driving significant advancements and leading a strategic technology transformation program. His leadership has led to the filing of 20 patents, reiterating his commitment to innovation and excellence.

Prior to his role at PNC, Michael held key positions at IBM, where he founded the API and Microservices division, managed $25 million in profit and loss, and led a team of more than 25 professionals, presenting and blogging about value of APIs as an offensive weapon against disintermediation. for financial institutions. At TD Bank, he created and executed an omnichannel strategy, overseeing a $15 million budget and delivering more than $30 million in annual benefits.
